Summer

Is it just me or is summer completely taking over your life? I try try try to get things done and blog about them and then I see this pool and can't help it.

Or when someone is offering a free tractor ride, c'mon who'd pass that up? :)

Okay, basically this is my "I'm sorry I've been away" post. When I upload all my finished project pictures you'll be the first to see them! Pinky promise.

One more.. Because she's too cute not to show off, when she's not being the crazy terrible two year old that she currently is right now.

Like her outfit? She's choosing to be a fashionista lately and will only dress herself. I choose my battles, this is not one of them. :)

Summer has taken over here too....between the house and trying to soak up as much sun as we can...the little blog has gotten truly neglected...but I'm totally ok with it! You be okay with it too:) We will enjoy your projects when the weather turns yuck!

I have a two-year-old, too. I totally understand the "choosing your battles" thing. :)

I've never fought the clothing battle either. Why spend all your time saying, "No don't wear that," when there are things like, "No, don't dare your little sister to pull down her pants and pee on the floor," to say!

What a nice pool!!

She's such a cutie. It's funny b/c her photo in the post about lined up with the photo of her in the sidebar...cool to see how she's grown, but still has the same smile. :)

When did she turn two? Michaela Byrd's bday was in Jan....

My daughter loves to dress herself too. I wish I could put a sign around her neck that says, "I am not a crazy homeless bag lady, I just like to dress myself."

Enjoy your summer! Love reading your blog but your readers understand how crazy it is to try & do projects during this time. I know I am lucky to get the laundry done & shower these days! By the way - my little girl (just turned 3) likes to wear snow boots with everything even though it is almost 100 degrees here.

Could that pool be any more fab?!?

Both of my daughters decided at an early age that they were going to be dressing themselves from then on.

They picked out some crazy combinations (which drove some of my friends nuts, but didn't bother me at all - well mostly), but as they're getting older the combinations are getting pretty darned good. And now it's just so nice that they can dress themselves.

So, when you see a crazy outfit, just take a deep breath and remember that if it's really out there, everyone will know who picked it out.

Love your blog... and that pool! We are meeting with the pool man tomorrow, hopefully it will be in the ground in a week or so!! The wicker chair is a great score, I just purchased an old one last week. I am trying to decide if it is a keeper or if I should sell, Blessings, Janna
