Redi Shade giveaway!

Want to know something fantastic? A company called Redi Shade contacted me a while ago asking if I'd like to try out one of their new products, The Simple Fit custom shade. Woohoo! I've been slowly weeding out the icky plastic mini blinds out of my life and this couldn't have came at a better time! I'm knee deep in the middle of a new room redo Shh.. and I was ready to get rid of my broken 3.99 specials that was currently covering up the windows.

First off, it was probably the easiest online ordering process I've done. I measured my windows and found a shade that fit what I was looking for, colors..Light filtering..Black out.. They have a ton to choose from, and it only takes a quick click.

I got my package in the mail a few days later which also included extra pieces in case you move it or need more "stickies" and simple SIMPLE instructions. It said on the website that it could be installed in seconds, but I was skeptical. Seriously, I've installed blinds before and they may say it's quick and easy but things get awkward, especially if you're like me and do it yourself. But let me tell you this, it was FAST. Want to know what took the longest? Taking down the crappy old blinds. I had to break out a drill for that.

Want to see how super easy it is? Excuse the bad pictures-- taking a picture of a window? Not my favorite thing to do. :)

First, take down old blinds.

Clean off the area that you're putting up the new blinds. You want the sticky pads to adhere well!

Hold it in place where you plan on putting the shade. See? One hand and I'm taking a picture at the same time, that's how seriously simple this is.

Press the clicker and the spring will push it out putting it securely in place.

Done.

No, really. You're done.

:) I don't know where my time stamp went on the pictures--I might have cropped it out, because I'm super smart like that- BUT it was about 2 minutes and they were up completely.

Don't you love that? My favorite part is the fact that it's cordless, which is great for kids rooms! You pull it down or push it up. Super fancy for me, I probably played with it for an hour after this. :) They also have a great honeycomb cellular 100% non-woven polyester fabric that traps the air, which helps with heating and cooling! Woohoo!

Okay, since Redi Shade is so nice they've offered up one custom fit shade for one of you lovies! This is a value between 99-253 dollars people! Not your plastic blinds from wally world!
If you win, you'll get something just like I did, and you'll have to make sure your window meets the following requirements:
* Simple Fit Custom Shades install only inside a window frame. Select a window that includes a frame with a minimum depth of 2 inches.
* Minimum width of 19 inches.
* Maximum width of 64 inches.
* Maximum length of 72 inches.

Easy!

First off this contest is only open to U.S residents, Redi Shade is unable to ship outside of the US.

I would pick the 48" wide pleated light filtering shade for the window above our reading spot. The kids have broken some of our plastic mini blinds there by peaking out and we need new ones. You can see them on this post. http://www.obseussed.com/2010/08/b-is-for-books-bedtime.html

I like the Fabric Arch. We're about to move to new house and this MAY come in handy there. Honestly, I love the thought of this shade but I'm not sure what window will need it the most. :)
