My Image Inspiration

Remember how last month I raved on and on about the new site My Colortopia?

How it's filled to the brim with inspiration and awesome bloggers? How with a little paint you can totally change the atmosphere of your room and mood? Oh, and how Glidden makes it easy with things like My Life My Colors?

Well..well..well.. They have another awesome program to help you out even MORE!

Say you see a pillow, or a piece of art work and you want to tie your entire room around that one piece? My Colortopia's got that! With a little thing called My Image Inspiration you can take any photo you have and it will pull all the colors from it with paint names that you can print out and take to the store, whip out a can of paint and get to work! It's seriously so fun. I could play around with different pictures and inspirations I have floating around all night. But I narrowed it down to one for you. ;)

Remember this summer when I was trying really hard to find that gorgeous blue paint for the bottom cabinets in my kitchen?

I had no luck so I went back to plain Jane white.

But then it hit me once I started playing around with the My Image Inspiration tool..'I bet they'd have it!' Sure enough. The perfect smokey blue. *Swoon*

Antique Silver! It looks so pretty, just the right amount of gray and blue.

I'm definitely digging the Smoky Charcoal too, wondering where I could make that work in my house! It'd be freakin' awesome in a moody bedroom, wouldn't it? Oh yes, yes it would. You know how I like to incorporate an equal amount of  masculine/feminine touches? That paint, with a sparkly chrome chandy? Totes amazing. Sprinkle some soft fluffy pillows with a lot of different textures and you've got yourself an awesome cozy bedroom for him and her!

See, how fast I started rambling just because a certain paint color got me goin? It's magical I tell you. Sometimes the right tools and colors really ignite you and take something that could be stressful or just plain too much to deal with into something fun and really bring life into the project!

I have been sponsored by Glidden brand paint to write this post but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
