Entry way redo

Remember my 2010 list of to do projects? Well, just last week I decided to tackle numero uno. All. by. myself. Yep, started it while Mr. P was away at work! I measured, then measured again, and cut, nailed, glued, sanded, sweat all by my lonesome! But, it was well worth my efforts I'd say. Remember the entry way before? Yuck, not very welcoming if you ask me!

It's half way there. It's actually primed right now, and ready to be painted but there's a bench being built as we speak and it'd make much more sense to paint it all together than in steps. Not to mention I hate painting. :)

Seriously? You did this all by yourself? Good for you! I've been in a bit of a "can't-get-moving" funk. . . you've given me some inspiration here!

I am impressed. It works that way in my house too, if you want anything done you have to just pick up the tools and do it yourself. I can't wait to see it when it is done.
Love the name of your blog too!

Oooo--Rachelle, I am intrigued! :) Can't wait to see how this ends!! I am so impressed that you did that by yourself.

I have a question for you. I am all signed up with Designer Blogs for my blog redesign, and I was looking at the Jesse Edwards patterns (love!). When you chose yours, did it come with the little scrolly thing you have in your banner, or did they add that?

I ask b/c I like the clean lines of the JE stuff, but the more scrapbooky looking packages from other designers they offer have tags and other extras.

I'm really having a hard time making a choice. :s

Any tips for me as I get started on the redesign? :)

Sorry...that was really long. :s

I love it when I see a good middle picture - it makes the process seem real and not just magic! It's going to look great!

Oooh, I like where you're going with this one! I did the same thing in my dining room.

I emphatically second your "hating to paint." I found a tool that will change your mind though! Come over to my blog on Friday, I'm having a paint color party, and I'm giving away that tool!

Hope to see you there, and I can't wait to see your finished entry way!
