Helllo Christmas! :) *Long Post, sorry!*

So still no painting of cabinets this thanksgiving weekend *sigh* oh well.. 12 more days. Like I said before I worked Thanksgiving and took a well deserved nap afterwords while Mr. P took the love bugs to his mom's house. It was nice, after my nap I watched Jon&Kate+8. They get a lot of mean things said about them, but I do love their kids- too freaking cute! Plus it had the wedding episode and well I loves me some weddin' shows! I've been meaning to show you some random things I've been trying to do. No time like now right?
My poor grass. :) Oh well, snow came today it's all covered. Please don't remind my husband of what's to come in the spring- silver, white and black grass! Well anywho, that's this little ladder shelf my mother in law gave me for the LB's.. it was a light stain and well that's just not my style so I spray painted it white. (If your wondering- that's my banister in the background. My neighbors probably thought I was on something wacky carrying that around my backyard at 8:00 at night! ) Once I painted this though, everything had to be painted. A chalkboard table for the girls. Fake pumpkins (90% off) for next year..which now sport some fancy polka dots..yay!
Ta Da! I still plan on adding some embellishments and of course pictures of the girls in the shelving, but c'mon it's about 130% BETTER than before.

Oh, and it's just some scrapbook paper on the back and ribbon down the front sides! Too easy.

Now on to Christmas projects. These are all copies- and I'm sorry I always mean to credit people on blog land. BUT I have to speed read everyone's posts.. a 10 month old is fast I tell you, once I turn my head she's into something shes not supposed to be in. But I will tell you that the Santa jars came from a idea on Just a Girl's Mr. Linky party... and the frames well, everyone has them.

I plan on filling these with some pretty bags filled with these http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/easy-oreo-truffles-95085.aspx The recipe that the Nester posted the other day. YUM tried them tonight...just wait you'll see the mess from that later.
Whats the verdict on the snowman one though? I'm not sure if I love him. He has glitter on his body but you can't see it in the picture due to CCS (Crappy camera syndrome) yes, no? I only made one so I could just keep him I suppose. Ah, oh well.

Just so your not like OMG..her kitchen is a mess look behind those jars- eww she lives in that?

Yes. Yes I do. Well, not always but today I do. I have about a million and two cabinets in my tiny 10x10 or 12x12 or WHATEVER kitchen, and there's no room. I'm using them as junk storage for the crafts going on right now. Lets see what I have- besides oreos, I moved those to munch on during my photo op. :)
Ugly garland, a canvas gone bad, glitter on a paper plate, mod podge, fake snow, paper towels..and well..... more unfinished cabinets.

These are the frames I'm making for the fam..Shh don't tell them. I thought they were cute. I know YOU guys think they are, since you all have them! You know what else though, a few weeks ago they had ones just like the family one but they said "Blessed" do you know how much those suckers were? .49 cents. Yep, I took 6 of them. I plan on doing them the same way, I have a big family....Ta da! Cheap cute gift.

Oh and say hi to my dog tequila..he's really shy I only get pictures of him running away.

That's all for tonight. Have I mentioned I really love the Christmas season?

Motivation

[Edit: Hey all commin' from TDC sorry for the old post but it's late and the dresser re-vamp was all I had on me! Enjoy!]
I was going through my photo files, trying to be motivated to paint my cabinets that have to be done by Dec. 12 when the counter top comes in! And, obviously it's not working because I decided to come here and post them. :) oops.

Oh well, picture time! Enjoy!

My attempt at scrapbook paper on some canvas. This picture was when I first started them.. they're all painted on the sides now.

This is LB1's dresser. It was my mom's when she was a little girl, it had seen better days. Think, old super glossy ivory with brownish gold accents. That's right- U.G.L.Y you ain't got no alibi you ugly yeah...... I mean. Anyway I painted the drawers pink (obviously) I tried out pink with a white handle on the bottom, and I didn't like it. So far LB hasn't noticed, if she has, it's not bothering her. However now its bothering me looking at it so, I might have to break out the hot pink paint....again. I put little dragonfly accents all over it. Love it.

Love Bug's letters which were ALMOST finished, till I ran out of ribbon for the Y. Are you noticing a trend going on here? These "close to done" projects. Sigh, someday. I hope my cabinets don't have the same fate. Can you imagine?

"Hi welcome to my new kitchen, with lovely tile floors, new paint, new counter tops and well, half painted cabinet doors."

You'd still enjoy being in my kitchen right? I knew you would.

Sick of pictures yet? Too bad.. there's more. I painted polka dots in LB1's room to match her pretty ol' walmart comforter. Love it.

We live in a tiny OLD cape cod so her room is long with low ceilings, it's cute for a little girls room though, right? The polka dots are really more "wow" looking, but the picture quality is horrible- Sorry. If you want feel free to buy me a new camera for Christmas. I wont mind.

One for the road.

Here's the princess that lives in this room. Yes, she really goes out like that.

It's begining to look a lot like christmas......

But I still have my ahh-mazing fall*atized pumpkins out. That's not weird right? Nope not at all.

Not much to say tonight other than I'm freezing, and someone get me out of MICHIGAN! Besides that though, we went to dinner and they had a face painter there for LB1! How fun! She wanted to be a princess (of course? Are there other options?)

How gorgeous! Everyone then wanted to be a fairy princess too.. :) Too bad they don't do parents because I would have rocked that look!
Aww. Look at her poor chapped bottom lips. :( poor babe!

Oh have I mentioned I got a virus! Yes, sure did. Antivirus2009. Do not click on it, not even the "X" to get out. It got me man, it got me. It however is fixed. for now .

Brrrr...

It snowed this weekend up here in the mitten. Have I mentioned that I absolutely with out a doubt hate the snow? Well, there you go, I hate it. Not only because it means it's the begining of 5, maybe 6 (or 7 because I mean, it is MICHIGAN and all) more months of cold cold cold. Dangerous roads, falling trees that cant handle the snow. Which last year happened in our front yard! Spooky! Oh and since I gained a um, few pounds this year I need a new coat that fits my "guns" aka my flabby waitress arms... :)

Oh well, anyway. Have I told you that we're tearing down our kitchen slowly this week? Yep, the dining room is all opened up! How exciting, and I purchased one (yes one.) cabinet to make sure I like them (yes I do). Ordered the countertops this week and well we're on! Silly owners before us added the dining room as an addition with NO insulation. No it wasn't a three season room because it had a register blowing heat out there! Instead they put two walls of drywall.. Silly, that doesn't stop freezing cold wind from getting in!
I have pictures but I'll come back and add them because well.. The couch is very comfy, and I plan on laying here till the very minute I have to go to work :) boo!

Happy hump day!

Gosh darned.

"Are the Quesadillas good"

"Yes the quesadilla is very good ma'am. It's a large tortilla with cheese and salsa/sour cream served on the side. Garnish also comes on the side with some pico di galo"

20 minutes later...

"Excuse me, you lied to me"

"How did I lie to you ma'am?"

"You told me this wasn't spicy. And, I bit into this jalapeno pepper and it was very spicy."

"Well, then I'm sorry, I guess so."

Lets go ahead and see what went wrong here.
1. She did NOT ask me if it was hot and/or spicy. She asked me if it was good. Yes, it's delish. Not as good as T.B but, hey we don't have anything on the "bell".
2. Even if she DID ask me if it was spicy, I would have responded to no. Such as my response in the garnish comes on the SIDE. It's on the side for a REASON. Cheese has no spice to it. Period.
3. What did you think would happen when you take a bite of a big ol' jalapeno, it'd be sweet?
4. Next time, ask me if jalapenos are spicy, I will be sure to tell you they are.
5. Do not call me a liar. Don't be stupid. Think before you speak.

HobLob...and Mikeys.

Oh, the possibilities of a day off and one child in preschool. I was able to go to not one, but TWO of my favorite stores, even better LB2 was asleep the whole time. Peace, quiet, and 70% off sales. Nice.

I got the cutest hanging door leaf thingy.... but I can't show you that quite yet.. I have to pack it up in the Thanksgiving box so Hubs can unpack it thinking we've always had it... what? You don't do that? Oh your not married to MR. PERFECT who doesn't understand that we NEED that 500th fall item. We Need it, I tell you.

Oh well, anyways it's gorgeous. 'Nuff said.

I got a wonderful and strong and sturdy wicker basket (I freaking love baskets, it's an addiction really.) For the toys, because the little devils little angels seemed to have broke our last one. Weird.

27.99 on sale for... dun dun dun.. 8.00! Whoo hoo! I might just go get more! I mean, how long is this one really going to last? Shouldn't I have a back up? I could use that on Mr. P, he might let me get another? What do you think?

Okay, and lastly I copied a fellow blogger who I can't link because well I don't know how. Anyways she has these adorable hand prints in frames and I had to do it. Had to.

Frames at Michael's 50% off... 10.00 for two, scrapbook paper 79 cents.. paint, already got it and voila!

Cute right? This is right outside both girl's rooms, and I think its just sweet. Sorry the picture is so bad. Sucky camera. Hate. It.

Oh one more thing, have I mentioned how nice this time change is? Bedtime used to be when and wherever the girls fell around 9:30ish and now. This is what happens around 8ish.. Nice. Love it!

Where have I been!?

Goodness! It's been way too long. Sorry about that! I've been crazy busy with Halloween and my bestests birthday shindig.. She turned 30 this year, we held a "Dirty thirty" party. It was very cute. I made martini glasses that said that, with polka dot rhinestones all over it. Very fab if I say so myself! We all pitched in and got her a breast cancer awareness necklace with sapphires and diamonds... I hope she had a good time, and loved it! :)

Now for Halloween, LB1 was a witch AND the hulk. Basically a green witch but, hey, whatever floats her boat! I should have gotten her the big hulk fists to go with it :) LB2 was a ladybug, they were very cute!

ETA: I ALMOST FORGOT MY AAMAAZING BUCKET FOR THE CANDY! CUTE RIGHT? YEP, COPIED THAT IDEA TOO. But I forgot who, I'm sorry, I will find out and credit you!

Don't you just want to eat them up? I know I do.

Now that the best holiday ever Halloween is over, the next ones coming up and let me tell you a little about that.

I. Do. Not. Like. Thanksgiving.

I have no real rhyme or reason for this other than there is nothing to do other than eat and watch football. And, now that I'm *Sigh* "grown", it's even worse. I'm expected to help, or something. The last three years I've offered to work. There's actually a whole lot of people who choose to go out, and well count me in on that band wagon! The other plus side is people feel so bad for you having to work they bring in the big bucks. Cha-Ching! Like I said, no real reason other than I find it dull and same ol' same. I don't enjoy cooking very much, or so..can't cook. Anyway, can we skip it this year? Oh, we can great! Thanks! On to Christmas.
